.........waaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOSH THAT IS *SO* *SAAAAAAAAAAAAD*!!!!!!!!!!! ARRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!
Ahem. Sorry. But anyway... wow, we learned so much about Arace in such a short comic: we already knew his mom was single, but didn't know the circumstances behind that... till now. Yikes, abandoned by his own father (coughdaddyissuescough) and raised by a bitter mother... no wonder Arace turned out so screwed up.
Plus, this does explain why Arace is so weirdly protective of his mother: he was all she had for years. It's probably been engrained in his head to look out for her, no matter how awful she is.
We also get an explanation for why his mother is the way she is, too. While it doesn't justify her bad behavior towards her son, it does explain why she's so desperate - to the point where she'd sleep with her son's ex-girlfriend (yikes). Plus, she doesn't "approve" of dogs? ...Arace is kinda loopy right now, so I don't know if I should take that seriously... but that does hint at his mother being racist... unless it's a "cat vs dog" thing (btw, saw your alternate comic, and while it was hilarious, I don't think I'll be making my own; I don't think I'll be able to make this moment funny).
D'awwww, but Rudi proves himself to be the BEST boi... the goodest of good bois! Taking on the role of father to an abandoned kitten... I hope Arace learns to appreciate his new buddy! Otherwise he'll be answering to me!
Oh yeah, real quick: where are they, exactly? They appear to be sitting on a bench, but it's unclear just where that bench is.
...Oh no, I just had a horrible thought: Rudi meets Arace's mom... YIKES! YUCK! NO! BAD IMAGERY! XD RUDI CAN DO *MUCH* BETTER!!!! ...But then again, that would make Rudi Arace's new dad, so...

You summarized everything very well! As for where they are, I'm not quite sure. That was up to to Zodd. When I wrote the script I imagined them to be at Rudi's house, but I never sent him that suggestion, that was merely my imagination when I wrote it. It seems like they might be at a bus stop? That's my assumption at the moment.
There is indeed a bit of a bias in this society, especially from felines towards other species, especially dogs. It is going to be one of Aracê's redeeming qualities that he does not care at all about that and thinks it's stupid of felines to believe they're better than others in any way.

Thank you! I actually came up with my own theory about where they are, only the bus stop idea sounds more logical (it makes sense to have a scene where Rudi is trying to get home while also trying to figure out just what to do with his new companion). My own theory was that the bench they're sitting on is supposed to be the same park bench from Arace's hallucination, but the reason Rudi isn't all glowing white is because both realities are merging in a visual sense.
Sigh, that's pretty sad, but then again, species-bias is a common thing. And I like that about Arace! You guys do a good job at making him a flawed person without making him necessarily a bad one. You've managed to keep him sympathetic enough so far.

The realities merging in a visual sense sounds really clever! You make me wish I had come up with that in the conception stage, haha!
And thanks, glad you enjoy it! We're all flawed beings, and that is definitely the most interesting aspect of being who we are, so I try to make my characters more flawed than good as well; they are more relatable to me that way. As his arch advances, I hope that Aracê becomes more relatable as he explores his inner thoughts more frankly, also revealing more of his true self to the readers. Glad to have you along for the ride either way!

Thank you very much! :D
You're welcome, and that's true. And that is one of the things I like about your series: while pretty much everybody has their jerk moments, none of them could be considered "evil" (sure, Arace's mom is pretty awful, but it's possible she's been through a lot; Kenneth shows a severe lack of empathy, but again, we just met him, so there might be more to him; and then there's Benevolence, who's hardly a very good superhero, but even then, there's a lot of missing information that I'm willing to wait for). So far, I think you've got a good balance.
But yeah, I look forward to seeing Arace's future misadventures! :D

Awwww.... That's very sad :(

Aww, I wanna hug them both! Seriously I really do, but they are hugging each other so that's really good! :)
Also I love your version to that's brilliant.

Hmm...well her name is Karen, you just might be right! Bug the goodest of good boy's would surely protect his son's momma even if she was a Karen...I mean a witch. Hehehe, I could not go for funny here, I had to be serious here and try to continue the story I've been stringing through my rewrites, hope that's alright, that I'm trying to write a story along side yours.
Aww, that is such a heartfelt scene! Powerful dialogue, too. It's heartwarming to see Rudi being so protective of the cheetah like that! It feels so honest too; my favorite of yours so far, good job! :)
And sure, of course it's fine that you have your own plotline alongside ours! That is why the feature was introduced in the first place, so people could get creative in whatever ways felt more natural to them! Having your own plotline is even better, as it makes me feel like I was successful in that initiative - you care about it enough to make it a continued effort, and I appreciate that. You're expanding our characters with your own expression and creativity, and that is the greatest gift an artist could get from their fans!

Thank you very much, it more or less just happened as it did, once I stared typing it just flowed, though I needed to backtrack and edit a few times to make things fit. I'm very proud of it my self I must say. :)
Whew! I was a little concerned there, heh, I just felt that simply writing jokes was not enough, also I noticed there was a thread running through them all so I just figured to go for it. Thanks for saying what you did, I feel much better about it ow and will continue to do my best to do right by your work with my own.
