you would have loved the last pups we fostered Sirius... they would run around and play and about two in the afternoon all of them would come beg me to pick them up. Once in my chair, they all had to take a nap, and darned if I didn't too. Best nap ever.

As for Ernest being the human equivalent of a golden retriever I don't know part of me thinks a Malamute after being scolded.

oooooo... I was making fruit fr lunch and left the bowls on the counter. When I came back, all the fruit in one bowl was pushed back slightly and a piece of pineapple was on the counter top. Turning, I found Kona looking at me. 'Did you do this?' I asked, and she got very guilty looking and left the kitchen.

Ernest was an American phenomenon in comedy. He had his own niche as did Benny Hill. My son and I watched all of his movies way back in the day.

But hey, for all Vern's complaints, the bot he received did find him companionship, so he works as advertised. Otherwise well, I'm sure his weakness is authentic Bulgarian miak. Hopefully Vern can find some this time of year.

Jim Varney is a name I've not heard in a good while, he was just before my time. But I learned of him much later down the line, I've only seen bits and pieces of his films. Ernest Scared Stupid and Ernest Goes to Jail are certainly two I plan to get around to someday.

Ernest kept me and my son laughing for years... it was all good clean fun...
