"I'll have this one, and I'll have this one! Who could just leave these floating about out here! They'll go nice on my shelf! ... Or maybe just the floor. "
Erika does actually really like space, she likes planets and things too despite appearances. So it's often quite nice to find a few small enough planets to decorate her room with, as the ones in there have a habit of winding up underpaw eventually.

In short, they're probably empty!
In long. Araltians aren't allowed to interact with civilised worlds unless given permission to for extreme cases. All worlds are scanned and checked and data is sent back to araltys so they have up to date scan informations of alien worlds, their habitability and desirability ratings, and if they already contain life, everything in a large area around the planet is ringfenced, and all Araltian flight paths and such are routed away from it, even the life is microbial. Basically they stay well clear to avoid interacting or avoiding first contact when a civilisation isn't ready.
Erika on the other hand, finds all this scanning and investigating less interesting, so for the most part, she just heads deep into uncharted space and finds her planets there. Almost all planets are empty so they're probably empty right! There's no clear signs of life, so it's probably fine!
Also, planets Erika uses around her room as decoration tend to be injected with a localised gravity shield that allows the planet to maintain it's own gravitational pull while negating the gravitational pull of external objets. This is to stop the planets' water (or if it had it, civilisation and city) from just falling off the planet, when on Araltys. This might help planets from sustaining some dints and cracks from being shoved in a bag or rolled around the room, but if she wants to damage the planet, she certainly still can.
