The thing about writing fanfic, at least for me, is while I am working on one story, I get ideas for future ones as well.
Another of my ideas for a "slice of life" tale of my OC, Russell Stepan and Miko Kubota, who are quickly becoming one of my all-time ships from fiction. The idea: both Russ and Miko have been working for Hinobi for nearly 5-6 years & been in a relationship together for about 3 or 4 years. Being together that long? You both know at some time you need some time away from the job.
Not a date, or a movie-night at home. Yup, they both need a vacation. A proper vacation without ANY notion or mention of the job.
So, this is a scene from a future story -- Currently the working title is "Vacation" -- where Russell and Miko pool their resources and go on an extended vacation. Somewhere tropical, with plenty of distractions, things to do, and with enough time to really relax and focus on each other. Not sure where this particular image fits in the story, yet, but I do know it will be featuring a fun "down-time/morning" scene where Miko and Russell are enjoying some swim-time in one of the resort's pools. Small side-note: Miko's swimsuit was something I saw on a Twitter post, and I just knew at once it had to be the one she wears to swim in. (A prior art I had commissioned showed off her "1st Day on Vacation" outfit; also drawn by Angelic).
I'm currently working on the story that features this prior scene -- https://www.furaffinity.net/view/41397908/ -- and eventually the "Vacation" story will be tackled. I'll post more about it when I get closer to starting/finishing more writing.
