His back warming pleasantly in the midday sun Rush dozed peacefully on the sandy beachside, a pair of simple dark shades resting over his eyes shielding him from the brightness of the hot summer day. Trademark beret rising and falling gently atop his head the grey cat shifted slightly atop the blue beach towel that served as his bed, tail flickering slightly behind him as he accomidated himself into a more comfortable position with sleepy purr. The day was warm, pleasantly so for middle of July, and the dull roar of the waves crashing down rhythmically on the shore was like a gentle lullaby. Coupled with the invigorating smell of the salt air there was little wonder how Rush could have dozed off.
Perhaps it was because of this that Rush failed to notice the lavander figure sneaking up quietly behind him. Treading softly upon the sand on her tipy toes Pandora crept up to the spot her sometimes-boyfriend had chosen to take his nap, careful to avoid spilling even a single drop of the contents of the dark blue waterpail she carried in her hands. Staring down at the grey tabby she watched him for a moment, cooing softly at the sight of him curled up on his makeshift bed sleeping peacefully.
For a moment Pandora was almost tempted to leave him to his dreams...almost. Lips pulling back into a devious smirk the lavander coyote positioned the bucket over Rush's head for a strategic drop, water sloshing within the blue plastic pail as she called out to him in a sing-a-song tune.
