"Oh they'll be here. And they'll be in for a nasty surprise too." -Pytha as she constructs hidden traps.
Perhaps one of the best known and skilled trackers and scouts in the Blackburrow clan, Pytha is the descendant of the Leafrunner name, a bloodline of Blackburrow gnolls that were crucial to the early wars with the humans, scouting far and wide for safe supply routes, game-filled hunting grounds, and secret hideaways for hunting parties and escorts to use on their trips across the plains of Karana. It was also the Leafrunner family name that helped establish good relations and contact with the neighboring gnoll clan, the Splitpaws. As such, Pytha often travels to the farther reaches of South Karana to check on the 'sister clan' of the Blackburrow, as well as helping to funnel refugees from the Splitpaw who've lost their home to the invading elementals. Pytha knows the lay of the land better than just about any other gnoll, Splitpaw or Blackburrow, and is often charged with setting primitive yet deadly traps for any band of humans that she might come across. From the classic pit fall trap, to the string-pulled bow trap, there's nothing Pytha can't craft up on demand to be an effect deterrent and warning to any trespassers that dare step foot upon Blackburrow territory, be they human or otherwise, and she is not above scavenging from the bodies of her fallen prey either. Waste not want not, after all. Though stripping valuables and belongings from the dead might be relatively 'low', it isn't exactly any lower than the early humans scalping Blackburrow pups alive or slaughtering their women in cold blood. That aside, Pytha found a sapphire amulet from one of her victims, and even though it doesn't entirely match her clothing outfit, she cherishes it all the same, claiming it to be a 'good luck charm' of some kind.
Hey, sorry everyone for the recent delay in my posts. I've been in a massive slump recently but I'm beginning to wiggle myself out of it, so do expect more posts in the future. As always, leave a watch and a fav if you liked, and stay tuned.
