A beautifully detailed
SusanDeer drawing.
At this point in my story "Sire Relief" (available on Spontoon Island), Reggie, having had a row with his Sire, Sir Josslyn Buckhorn, has taken refuge on a nearby native island. Alas, he's already had a run-in with a non-anthrop gull that likes to drop clams on his head. Even worse, he's run into The Kitten and His Gang, who have started with slingshot-propelled grapes and have escalated from there, forcing Reggie to build an improvised sand-fort to protect himself. With only some success.
Pay close attention to Reggie's lava-lava. One of Sue's inside jokes, though with all the first-class draughtswomanship (look at those fronds) you might miss it. That pineapple jammed in the fort wall is also classic.

Oh man! I missed this one. I was thinking of getting Reggie Buckthorn involved in a story from "Steamfox" where the S.S. Athena rescues the young "Gentleman Adventurer" and his beaver companion from being stranded on Johnston Atoll in the Pacific.
Yeah, I saw the Pineapple too, and it made me chuckle. I ought to tell you about the "Pineapple of Scotland" one day.
