After getting two or three anonymously-requested commissions done today I figured I'd do something for myself since... well being an artist should be fun and all work and no play makes Shannon [me] a murderous little bitch.
So as I usually do in my pictures I'm giving a small update to let everyone know I broke up with Marc yesterday due to all of the complications and my being a complete pussy about things. All in all it was a totally 'it's not you, it's me' situation, and thankfully he understood that. As of now we're probably having sex in IM's so don't pity us too hard.
Anywho that pushed aside I'm trying out a new shading method! So far it's only for the shadows, but I did a LITTLE shine on his skin, but you can't see it well since Co is so pale. Silly little detective needs to sunbathe. <3

Ditto... there's a movie with a really polite, jovial fat guy in it, though.
Ever seen Paprika? One of the main characters is a geek Tokita; he's bloody huge, but he's such a nice guy.
Detective Conan DOES have ONE, but he's just a support and he's hardly around; he's called Officer Chiba. Coincidentally Chiba is also a huge nerd; not as literally large as Tokita though.

It's a shame, all anime protagonists (in the ones I watch) Are skinny to medium build, and are nerds who for some reason are pimps Or Mediocre personality with some sort of hidden gift. And just don't mention female protagonists

After all the interventions, Conan might learn to watch his intake of doughnuts. It's true what they say, all law enforcement, including detectives, enjoy doughnuts too much.....not that I enjoy doughnuts at all, mind you. Of course not....*blushes*
The new shading does look different from the glossy shine of an inflated detective, m'dear. I am positive you shall capture the precious method and effect. (I'll be learning the same thing soon, hehe.)
