My boyfriend and I were in Portsmouth, NH enjoying lunch at Cisco Brewery (the old Red Hook Brewery) and he decided to take me by the new location of The Drum Center Of Portsmouth. We walk in and THERE IT IS! One of Mike Mangini's drum kits. If you do not know who he is, he played in Extreme and is now in Dream Theater. $10 allows you the get a photo sitting behind the kit. It was for charity so, HELLZ YEAH.

There are. He has somewhat simplified with his new kit. It's shockingly small and low to the ground. I'm not standing. I'm sitting down. The kick drums are what give it its large footprint. They are spread out. The drums number 7 toms, 4 cannon toms, a gong drum and micro snare, which is what you see above center. Then there are electronic drums and many foot pedal operated percussion pieces. The spread from left to right is mirror imaged so he never has to cross his arms. Basically, it's both a left handed and right handed kit. Identical cymbal configurations on both sides. Honestly, it's genius.
