I regret every time I raise my Voice
And it wouldn't be too wise of me to say I had no choice
I can kiss your eyes your hair your neck
Till we forget
Wrap your Arms Around Me - BNL
This is Sir. William of Dundell.
He's a father.
He's a therapist.
He's an Unknowing Prophet.
He has one eye, two horns, four arms and a fluffy tail.
He's a monster to some.
He's of the Nahir, a race favored by the Foolish Goddess.
The Nahir were once labeled as demons by those not from their land, though they hardly came into contact with people from other lands anyways. For, you see... Their continent was floating.
The Foolish Goddess had placed it in the sky. According to the legends, it was to keep them safe from those who would not understand.... In actuality it was because she wanted it higher than the other Goddess's lands.
Now, no matter what plot/story line it is, the land of the Nahir is always floating-- whether or not the other Goddesses have placed floating/not floating continents or not. However, depending on the plot line a number of things happen.
In one plot line, the Foolish Goddess sees the Nahir becoming sinful, evil creatures which use their knowledge not to help but instead harm. To smite those who no longer follow her will, she knocks their land from the sky, killing those who were wicked and letting only the good survive. In this plot line, William is not a Prophet of his Goddess. He comes into existence four hundred years after his land was destroyed. He is now in our modern time where there is very few of his kind left.
In another plot line, the Foolish Goddess sees that isolation from the rest of the world and all other forms of knowledge will drive her poor creatures mad. She decides to have their home slowly descend and eventually form with the existing earth bellow them. Over time, they evolve and become much more avian like in form, no longer the Nahir but merely referring to themselves as "Birdlings." William does not exist int this world.
In another plot line, the continent remains floating, untouched by the Foolish Goddess for she sees that all is well. But as time passes, she becomes board of her lovely land and decides to see how they would mingle with those on the surface. She tells her prophets of the time to encourage exploration and to go to places that have never been seen before. This is William's usual plot line. He was born on the surface and knowns virtually nothing of his home land. He is a prophet of Foolish, though he does not know it until she calls upon him. Being a therapist is his day job, though.
In yet another plot line, the Foolish Goddess is feuding with the other Goddesses of the Trinity and refuses to back down. She raises the continent farther from any of the others and tried to prevent any contact... But there is one of the Nahir who is still curious enough to go see what else is out there. William has not yet been born to this world, but we will see in time.
TL;DR VERSION:
HE HAS ONE EYE.
TWO HORNS.
FOUR ARMS.
AND A FLUFFY TAIL.
HE IS DISGRUNTLED.
HIS GODDESS THINKS HE'S FUNNY.
DUR. HUR.
I should really make a race sheet for the Nahir... They're so interesting (at least to me xD)
SCARS ARE FUN TO DRAW.
William, that WALL OF TEXT, most concepts and the image all belong to me. Do not touch.
And it wouldn't be too wise of me to say I had no choice
