To this day I'm still bitter that one of Africa's (many) iconic mammals, probably the most iconic canid, wasn't featured at all in The Lion Guard :T And yes, I know that technically AWDs appear as cave paintings in a bunch of episodes but c'mon... that isn't even the bare minimun.
Since we haven't seen AWD in the TLK universe yet, here's my idea of how they could have looked!
Initially I was going to use TLG's artstyle but... the anatomy on that show is too wonky for me ^^' So I guess this is the artstyle of the films, or just a simple "Disneyfication" of the real animals xD I did my best to simplify their fur pattern so it was easier to draw, while keeping it similar enough to their real life counterparts. Added a little pup just to compare how the fur's colors and patterns differ between an adult AWD and a puppy.
But now let me ask you: is there any African animal that you think should have appeared in The Lion Guard but didn't?
