The term 'champion' has different meanings depending on who it is used for and what it is used on. Normally, the title of 'champion' is for those who are the best of the best for their people, fighting on their behalf and taking up their cause for the greater good. With Zax Marrowclaw, the definition of this word is half true. Zax champions the cause of the Direwind for the sake of evil and corruption; to fulfill the agenda of the plague god, Bertoxxulous. Rumored to be apart of the original Direwind clan before the plague and curse took root, Zax Marrowclaw is a veteran of many battles, and his already mighty, boulder-shattering, metal-shredding strength has been amplified beyond its limit thanks to the infusion of the Direwind. Thanks to his unholy strength, Zax is able to swing and heft his favored weapon, a plague-blessed scythe, in a single hand, wielding the foul weapon as if it were a mere toy. With wide, fast sweeping attacks, Zax Marrowclaw cuts down his unlucky victims and foes as if they were but wheat in the fields, their souls ripe for reaping. It's rumored that Zax devours and consumes every soul from the victims of his scythe, only furthering his ghastly powers. Surely it must be true, as Zax remains undefeated.
