‘Ember,… what are these things?’
‘Ugh,… Golems,… creatures of mud and stone and dark magic,…servants of Queen La,… they are tough, try to aim for their cores,… usually in their chests,…’
‘Wait,… there are too many, we need a plan,…’
‘Okay,… what do you have in mind?’
“Never fails that something always interrupts a peaceful day on this island,… my friend Lucia had just come for a visit, and after helping me check on one of the Ruins we decided to head back,… only to find ourselves ambushed by a bunch of Queen La’s Golems,… of course.
Oh, and they are using weapons now, even better,… but atleast it’s only the smaller ones, but there are a lot of them,… and is it my imagination, or are they focused more on Lucia than me?”
'Alright,… I think I have an idea.'

A great collab with
jurgenblue done by
shonuff44 of our characters Ember and Lucia, looking to be in abit of trouble,… though from the look of the girls, perhaps it’s their would-be ambushers that are in trouble? ;).
And absolutely beautiful picture that I think depicts both Ember and Lucia very well. Both of them look so fierce and strong, and clearly they were not unprepared for an encounter such as this, with their weapons at the ready and both poised to start attacking. Their expression really accent their ferocity with Lucia’s furrowed brows, and Ember’s gritted teeth and glaring eyes. I love how these to contrast and compliment each other, showing off different ideas on the idea of a jungle warrioress,… Lucia with her paler skin, and tattered edged leathery clothes, next to Ember with her tropical tan skin, and leafy attires,… even the difference in their height, Ember clearly looking abit taller than Lucia,…I especially love how Ember’s hair sways behind Lucia, the red of her hairs contrasting the blues of Lucia’s hair very nicely. Yet for their differences, they look good together, and it certainly looks like they work well as a team. The jungle looks so lush and vibrant behind and around them, and the little spots of light on the girls from holes in the canopy overhead is a very nice touch, along with the subtle shine off of their skin, hair and weapons. The subtle hints of their enemies is a great touch as well,… from the weapons in the foreground, to the vague shapes in the background, it adds a menacing quality, while concealing the nature and number of their foes. This really is such a tense and fierce picture, and no doubt one heck of a fight is about to follow it.
Absolutely amazing work, thank you very much, Sho. :D

An interesting note on this picture, not only did Sho post it on his site after completing it, but shortly afterwards created an alternate version of it, changing it to a nighttime setting, and doing up Ember and Lucia in warpaints similar to a picture he did of Hula Girl, also war-painted, riding into battle atop her war-pig to go stop what Sho calls ‘Tropageddon’. It is very cool to see Lucia & Ember get the same treatment, and the war paints really make them look even more fierce, while the night time setting, with what looks like the Jungle Wisps around them, really gives a great feel to the whole image. I guess Hula Girl won’t be facing Tropageddon by herself. ;)

Golems are not easy foes, but it's not Ember's first time dealing with them. :)

Queen La being up to no good again. Luckily for Ember, she's got Lucia with her :) . I like that even though both of them are surrounded by the Monsters Queen La has created, both Ember and Lucia are determined to fight them all off, to help out a friend when in need. I really like how both of them are positioned as well. With Ember having Lucia's back with not only her spear at the ready, but her small knife as well. I know that her small knife was hardly ever seen or used until now, but it's really great to see her use it in a situation like this :). This is a really great picture, and it all came out so well and amazing :D
Queen La is always upto no good, and yeah, atleast this time Ember has help from Lucia. Oh, indeed, it takes more than a few golems to scare these two, they are ready to give these monster hell. ;). The positioning is really good, with them back to back, and yeah, Ember's knives haven't been seen too often, but she is quite skilled with them, and even using them at the same time as her spear, and this really shows it. Indeed it is, and I agree, it came out beautifully. :D
