Just describing how to get the best out of emulated X-COM. The scalers smooth out the pixelation, improving the appearance, often by considerable margins. But the more advanced algorithms are quite expensive, processor-wise. Also, if you've got the perseverance to find them, the Playstation versions of One and 2 are considerably stronger. I think-though I don't know-they will run under ePSXe. If you want to run them on the actual console, you will need the playstation mouse and keyboard and I do not know their compatability.
