the zoo of Heidelberg renewed the outside of their lions' den a couple years ago. one of the features is a fake landrover front end poking into the den, with a big "windscreen" and a heated "engine hood", to make the lions take a rest there on cool days, and people could take a closer look at them hiding in the shadow of the "landrover". I haven't had the chance to see if it works yet, due to you-know-what, but I surely will. ^^
