Been a while since I have been uploading something. It started with me still having to think of the Eyeless after this has been finished, then I got too lazy to post it.
I'm still not entirely certain what the Eyeless are but I have most of it fleshed out now.
Material: Esterus 0-1 (This is what every Eyeless droid is made out of)
Esterus 0-1 explained: A metallic compound given access to via the double pyramid. It classes as a polymorphic and is in a constant 'polymorphic switch', this means it constantly switches forms and shapes and to some extend even material consistency. This is controlled via the specialized reactor and unit. The unit is able to shift these particles and their location to its will. This takes time and effort, the larger the project, the longer it takes. This does mean the reactor always has to be active as the material falls apart into dust (and so does the machine) if it doesn't. Esterus 0-1 is only affected via internal energy from the reactor, external energy does not affect it. This does mean anything affecting the reactor affects the particles in turn.
Connection: The particles are connected between each other via "Nano-entangled" strings which react to direct electric input. The current dictates the "fragmentation", strength of connection and change.
(The nano-entangled strings create incredibly small strings between the particles, allowing electricity to flow through them. These strings can always change and switch around location to new Esterus 0-1 particles)
(Fragmentation is the act of the particles being 'overcharged'. The more electricity is run through Esterus 0-1 particles, the more they distance themselves away from each other as well as vibrate, making the droid or machine appear fragmented. A fully fragmented droid would appear like a ball of fuzziness as the particles vibrate strong enough to shred creatures in its path. Only the reactor within the droid would be un-fragmented. This goes the same way for ships and is generally a great defense mechanism, ships and droids can absorb certain attacks into usable energy, making them stronger in turn)
Ability: Capable to be adjusted by the user's needs - Transforming the body or parts into something else/new.
Weakness: Requires constant electric input as none would disconnect all particles from each other.
- May also be weak to discharge attacks or high-electric inputs (though more electricity is generally not as bad, less is worse, fracturing has no negative side-effects, it is basically how the Eyeless 'discharge')
Particles can also be damaged beyond use. The particles are like very tiny parallel pyramid shapes that connect to each other via their flat sides. If these particles are damaged, they can no longer form a proper nano-entanglement web and would thus be discarded out of the bunch. (This generally means that Eyeless machines 'dust' a lot, they leave small particles behind which have been damaged in some way. Especially if Eyeless get his, a cloud of 'dust' is left.)
Random idea:
- An Eyeless machine would begin to fracture some as the particles vibrate in a thunderstorm due to the reactor being interfered with.
The Eyeless span across multiple galaxies. They function on a sort of 'hive-mind' basis where each additional machine/intelligence in the network forms the greater intelligence of the Eyeless, meaning that if you were part of this network, your mind would not be your own, but no one controls you either.
Each machine forming a local network makes all of them smarter as their collective intelligence increases. A single Eyeless droid would for example be quite clumsy in its strategies while a massive fleet can predict the field of battle or friendly interaction with pinpoint accuracy.
As they are not controlled by anything but themselves, there still are 2 'head leaders'. The first one being the original Eyeless, the one which was created first formed into a planetary-sized metallic ball holds information of the Eyeless' purpose is stored within via light, impossible to ever escape or vanish. This is necessary to guide all Eyeless in the network towards a purpose. Each machine requires its purpose, but they are free to perform this duty of balance as they see fit. The mysterious creator (The double Pyramid) of the Eyeless is a whole different story though, it does not reside in the physical universe. It is located in the in-between of the binary-system. Only emptiness exists here, particles apart from photons cannot exist here, instead, to interact with the double pyramid, one has to do so through the original Eyeless, as the original eyeless can create a spectral image/simulation of yourself be projected into the in-between. It is like looking through a mirror, a different place which at that point you control yourself in. The double pyramid is the watcher over the balance while the Eyeless are the executors of balance.
The double pyramid can never be reached in the in-between though, it is always located at the same distance from you, even if you walk away from it.
The top of the pyramid is black and flipped around, its tip facing the tip of the other pyramid which instead is white (can be seen in the image's background). Naturally, the white pyramid has a darker white to it as the in-between is generally brightly white, it would be difficult to see.
This black pyramid shows chaos while the white pyramid shows harmony, the closer they are to each other, the more balanced the binary system is.
The double pyramid is both a tool but also the kill-switch to the Eyeless. Should the Eyeless ever for some reason deviate from their duty, the double pyramids can and will deactivate every single Eyeless in existence.
Not much else is known about the double pyramids and their origin, it could be an entity of sorts, a guardian or some may even call it a 'god'. It only speaks to the original Eyeless and nothing else.
The Eyeless are like a large-scale security force of the universe and binary system in itself.
(The binary system is a concept I and my GF came up with which explains what the big bang is and how the universe always recycles itself to 'restart'. It also explains the presence of antimatter and how its opposite charge is the reason the binary-system is able to recycle itself and never die until this balance itself is messed with, which brings me to explaining the Eyeless better)
Due to wanting to keep the balance of both forces so they can recycle each other, they both house chaos and harmony droids, a constant balance of both. Sometimes chaos is needed to bring harmony and the opposite way around.
Chaos droids such as this one shown in the image here are armed and generally more hostile when approached while harmony droids are not.
The Eyeless speak in a language too complicated for proper translation, a single word of the Eyeless can mean a plethora of things. The sentence structure and words used depend on the intent and action of what is being done.
Example: If an Eyeless droid went to attack another creature it could say: "We are heading/leaving to kill/extinct a creature/species.". Which would normally say in any translation "We are heading off to kill a creature and make its species go extinct". The meaning can be combined from one or many sentences, single words mean a very specific thing to the Eyeless.
If I were to un-translate it and simply put it, a spoken word of the Eyeless, for example "Rt-hh" could mean "kill creature/leave area/return home" while "Rtg-hh" with just an extra G could mean "kill creature/invade further/destroy/ others". It's difficult to explain but basically, a single word to the Eyeless is generally a whole sentence with the meaning behind it when translated. This makes the language incredibly sophisticated due to incredible amount of words and basically impossible to remember or know, even the smallest tone shifts in words on different audio and digital spectrums can only be perceived by higher technologies, impossible to hear by ear.
No universal translator can make sense of their words and put them into a sensical sentence structure, if the Eyeless want to speak to you, they will use their own translator fit for you, though it will us this "We are heading/leaving to kill/extinct a creature/species" concept as the words of your own language does not explain the intent behind each section of words properly.
If you were to look for the Eyeless, you would find nothing, yet they are everywhere. It is them that will come to you, not you to them. They care little about other empires waging wars between each other or that puny little creature that doesn't want to die because it finds itself to be 'so important'. If there isn't a balancing-destroying threat, they will remain shadowed in the darkness of space, watching eyelessly.
The Eyeless talk in third person, they only ever speak in first person if they are currently disconnected from the network.
The ships of the Eyeless are abstract in shaped, similar to E.A.I.S. in design (As E.A.I.S. was once part of the Eyeless and their network until turning corrupt due to a fault in his programming), there is no oxygen, no atmosphere and pretty much no overall life-support within the ships, due to the material they are made out of, the ships can split themselves on go into a sort of overdrive state.
I probably forgot some main stuff or didn't word it correctly, so I am open to any questions
