It really says something that this was uploaded back in September. :X Anyways, this is currently the most recent pic of Amara. That is saying something given what my backlog looks like today! With lots of characters, it can be hard to keep them all together and updated, y'know? Also need to think up more stuff with her. Maybe just a few more lazy moo pinups and tired morning moments haha. Also, like with my Lilac pic, I chose to lighten the background a bit to keep attention more to the artist's linework in the foreground. I seem to get too into details, but anyways, onward!

Mornings in the city hit different. Back at her hometown, Amara could feel the sunlight warm up the room just enough to rouse her from the deepest sleep, and by opening the window, the young cow would feel the rush of a morning breeze deep into her lungs. Once outside, the morning dew could be felt in the air, and the sound of morning work and idle chatter brought her further into a sense of belonging. Even if she did not have much to do, it always felt like she was missing out when she slept in, back home. It didn't help that Mom made some great meals for breakfast; she figured if the sun did not wake her, the aroma of warm bread and fresh omelettes would, instead.
Oh, how she wished the apartment came with fresh bread in the morning. But it did not. The sun avoided her window in the morning, instead heating the apartment during the hot afternoons, and any air that came from the windows only added humidity and honking from the multitude of citizens like her. She did not risk a deep inhale of the air - she made that mistake early in her new home - and resigned to breathing in the air conditioned ambiance instead. These factors played their part poorly to motivate the moo, and her eyes fought to stay closed and bring her back to her dreams in the arms of that strong bull in the evening breeze.
Amara emerged from her blanket cocoon, and the morning butterfly opened her disheveled wings with a series of pops and groans. She grabbed her glasses and looked at the clock by her bedside; by this time back at her parents' place, most of her sisters would be at the farm already working their butts off. As of late, a few of them would get their milking done, too. Amara was not a work cow, though, nor was she in the mood to add any milking routine to her daily schedule. As a result, she had to indirectly support her family with the store-bought cream instead.
After months of working the system, Amara figured she could get herself together in about an hour, provided everything was in the right place and working properly. This included a shower, but the tired cow needed to get to her coffee first. The bathroom was not large enough to take the exaggerated and sleep-deprived sways of a bovine. Besides, she figured it would make her day better to have a coffee at her earliest convenience. She would have the coffee made in bed if she knew she would not burn herself.
She considered it seriously for a time. She was still not there yet.
Standing in the kitchen, Amara let her hands move like a dazed automaton, and soon the sound of coffee gurgled from the plastic-and-metal lifebringer before her. A mug sat precariously close to the edge of the counter - about as dangerous as Amara was comfortable with. Soon it would be the goblet of morning freedom, and the refreshed moo would be able to start the rest of her day properly - confident and conscious enough not to fall onto the nearest soft furniture to sleep.
Though as the coffee brewed, she did glance to the living room. The couch looked like a great companion today. But alas, work was in 40 minutes, and she had a job to do. Even when work needed to be done, it was tiring for some time. Funny how the city life was so much the opposite of her hometown.
Amara was a morning cow, just not these mornings. Thank goodness for coffee.
