I've been a bit anxious lately! (as usual lol), so here's a thing I've been working on in between working on commissions :)
I'm blanking on the episode right now, but I was rewatching the one in season 9 (I think?) where Twilight was trying to break into canterlot as a security test or whatever?? anyways spike opening up abt wanting to acknowledged as twilight and shining's little brother made me sob a bit inside. so anyways thats what inspired this haha
my thinking is that spike can get lonely around bedtime so twilight regularly sets aside some baby time so they can calm down a bit and go to bed happy :]
I'm really happy with this tbh, I'm sort of obsessed with stuff thats cute and heartwarming but like, weird. abdl brings out the sweetness in me i guess

The episode you're thinking of is episode 200. It was an episode written in tribute to the women that played the mane 6. The writers asked each VA what was something they'd love to see the character(s) do they hadn't gotten to do before and they made it happen. hence why the episode is silly. The challenge was Twilight's brother Shining Armor had developed a new security system to defend Canterlot from attack and wanted Twilight and her friends to test it. As a reward he brought the tin foil crown that their parents would reward to one of them at the end of each month for how many achievements they'd done that month. Spike secretly plotted with Princess Luna to steal it since he always kinda wanted to be in the running and hence why he ended up with it in the end, crowned the sibbling supreme.
i love this soo much i'm a bit crazy about Twilight and Spike they have such a special bond sort of mother and son/brother and sister/scientist and assistant/ truly best friends, though he doesn't go on the battle field, they stand beside and support each other through almost anything and everything
