One more piece from a Dell Comics issue of Walt Kelly's work, this time from Pogo Possum #15, Jan-Mar 1954 cover date. The inside front and back covers carried the postal-regulations-required text story, The Magic of the Hoo Doo Man. But it got some spot art, including a nice picture of the characters acting out a scene from the story. I felt up to drawing about half of them, Mrs Rackety-Coon, Mrs Frog, a beaver child, and a bear child. In the story they're gathering around watching the Hoo Doo man have problems with the stove and that was more fiddly lines than I wanted. The important thing is for the first time I drew an apron that looks like an apron! Even if half of it is hidden. I'm also feeling pretty good about the young beaver.
