Kingfisher Premium Lager
Type: Lager
National Origin: India.
Ok first off. I just want to say. I was Skeptical, to say the least.
What would Indians know about making beer? But I would give it a shot! So, I poped the cap and took a sip. To say the least I was pleasantly surprised.
Good texture, slightly heighten bitterness, for beer and a nice pleasant after bite.
Overall I give this Beer from the sub-continent a definite drink! I also happen to look forward to my next bottle!

I think my last two comments on Kingfisher were somewhere between "Eh, it's okay." and "Eh, not bad."
I found it similiar to say, a Carlsberg Elephant, a Grolsch, maybe an Estrella Damm, or perhaps a Peroni.
Sometimes I find that what type of beer you're in the mood for can influence how high or low you rate a beer.
btw beers to avoid:
anything by a United States Macrobrewery.
Anything by Tommyknocker that comes in a six pack.
Pacifica Claro (has a yellow label)
Infinium(A $20USD Samuel Adams/Weihenstephan collaboration)
Most beers with a rice base(There have been a few exceptions I'm sure.)
Beers I reccomend:
Black Sheep (Especially their Rigwelter)
Ivanhoe
Bluebird Bitter
Delerium Tremens
Woodcut Ale
Cornstalker Dark Wheat by Thunderhead Brewery(all Thunderhead beer is worth it, save for their Golden Frau)
Anything by Avery brewing company(avoid the one's dealing with demons. They have a very, very high ABV. They're still good though.)
Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales is a good brewery.
Meantime London Porter
Sprecher Czar Russian Imperial Stout(cooks up into an awesome sauce for beef.)
Weyerbacher Beers
Wychwood brewery
Some of the Boulevard Smokestack series(it's hit or miss depending upon various conditions)

First off, just let me say ouch (cause yes, the truth does hurt.).
What you think I was going to respond with typical American patriotism and go "Dem's fitin' wurds boy!" ?
Well, in that vein (if you don't mind my digressing) I will state that sure we're unfortunately known for our Budweiser, Busch, Schlitz, Coors etc.(Beer rule #534: The better the ad campaign, the worse the beer.) however I find the Canadian products Molson Ice, LaBlatt Blue, and Moosehead to all be on equal terms with those beers.
If you want some fairly large production American beers that still actually taste good, look for something form Samuel Adams, or Rogue.
If you want to taste truly superb Canadian beer, go with something from the Unibroue brewery.
Really just about every country has their good and bad beers..
I may know of a website where you can purchase beers on line.
Couple caveat's:
1. It's a place based in America and their products are primarily American microbrews -but none of that macrobrewery swill you and I dislike-- and
2. I'll have to check on them to see what the rules for shipping their merchandise over international borders are.
if shipping isn't a problem and you want a more, worldly variety to choose form, I could see about my local resources....

Im planning to add some more when I have time. At the moment I have several waiting in my beer fridge but are currently over taken by my pomegranates and Molsin Canadian and some Ricards Dark, not a porter fan but in hind sight I probably should have only gotten a 6 pack as aposed to a 12.
