i also wanted to say this:
i think what also owns about it is that the "diagram" (removing the line) is like a literalisation of those kinds of diagrams/graphics you'd get in a painkiller advert
So, whereas nurofen might make the horrible red glow in a cgi person's head disappear (or whatever) and that is a representation of its analgesic remedying of a headache, in this case, the metaphorical "graphic" is the same as the literal effect
this is some baudrillardian shit!
