With age comes things like silver and grey. And I'm excited to embrace it.
Caught a glimpse of all the silver hairs in sunlight that were hiding in the thicker parts of my hair. It reminded me of silver fish in a stream, and then I remembered what Howl said about Sophie's hair.
"It looks like starlight."
This was actually something that just kinda happened and happened beautifully, really happy with it! I wanted the hair to be detailed but loose enough to look like water or the night sky, with flecks and shimmers of silver. Metallic silver colored pencil really popped well on this piece, but the idea to add foil accents was another random choice. I figured if I didn't have silver leaf foil, silver colored aluminum would do just as well. After much gluing of my fingers together with super glue, I got the pieces into place and secured, and the end result is good. Will definitely try it out again sometime!
