I had an interesting dream while I was recovering from a flu.
After playing a lot of games then, I had a dream about Samus with wings, as well as Samus in a different type of power armor, with wings as well.

Also, from what I have played from the Metroid Prime series, I think I remember it saying that Chozo once had wings long ago, but lost them while evolving.

So, that gave me an idea of a Metroid AU about Chozo having related descended races that grew the wings of their ancient ancestors, and well, this pic, as well as a dream I had, gave birth to this pic....Also, my various AU fanfics and original stories too.
