Also, this is mostly why I'm quiet RL. I feel like I'm speaking a different language when I have to talk about my interests, and I really have no clue what you're talking about when the conversation leads to politics, sports, cars, wine, women or anything like that.
... but ask me how I feel about the patch notes or for insight on the latest episode of my favorite anime or tv show? Hell. We'll be here for hours.

I feel you there completely. I seem to be mistaken for being 'uneducated' when I give people deadpan stares when they start going off on tangents about politics, world news, and whatnot. It's not that I don't know about that stuff to a degree; it's just that I don't really care. I have my interests and how dire the Gulf Oil Spill is or which politician got a blowjob from an intern are not among them. :x
Anyway!
Nerd moment: I squealed quietly when I saw the Key of Clow/Clow Staff/whatever people call it nowadays in the thought bubble. I kind of want to watch Cardcaptor Sakura again sometime, if I can find all of the discs I kept the series on...

Absolutely. I mean, what's the point of being up to date? You never hear of these people again that look at porn in congress or get caught with a crack dealing man-whore... Once you've seen enough of the human nature, these 'breaking news' stories are just the same thing over and over again.
...and I absolutely LOVE that we pay people millions of dollars to throw a fucking ball around, yet we have trouble paying teachers decent wages.

Precisely. I don't think anyone remembers who Larry Craig is, despite all the hooplah they made over him. I don't bother with the news much anymore. Unless my home or the homes of anyone I know are in danger of being blown up/swept away, I really just couldn't care much anymore.
Oh, I used to get into petty arguments with my little brother all of the time when we were younger because of him making remarks that sports stars and actors deserve to get paid more than doctors and teachers. He wanted to go to college on scholarships so that he could potentially join the NFL and make a ton of money, whilst I was doing student-teaching courses in hopes of becoming a teacher someday. Our tiffs were silly, but I was quite passionate about my discontent with entertainers being compensated for playing games more than those who provided vital, necessary services to the community. (Mind you, doctors do make a buttload of money, but not nearly as much as, say, Tiger Woods or Brad Pitt.)

Oh man i feel ya there,it's quite difficult to find a subject matter to chat about unless its vague video game knowledge,things in common or anime ramblings. I can go from shy/quiet to lively/talkative in an instant on rare occasions. xD

I enjoy people like that. Far too often do you run into people that can't speak at length upon any particular subject. Even if it is just fan-gasming over a show or gameplay mechanic. It's fun to listen to people speak about things they are genuinely interested in. Especially so if interests match up. XD
Also: Why sweatervests? And is an affinity for them contagious? Because it definitely seems that way. XD

I hate how easy it is for melee to kill my priest so now i PVP on my druid. Way more survivability. Also, turning into animals? Rad.
The new spells for wrath dealt priests another bad hand just like the last 2 expansions. Yeah, lifegrip sounds cool and i think it is but it wont help us where we fail. Survivability. Lifegrip doesn't help my priest live longer, it helps me save my warrior friend who is a total derp and rushed headlong into pvp while ignoring me. Also all healers are going to be able to dispel magic, so what are shadowpriests going to do? At least warlocks have UA to protect thier dots.
Seriously. I'm putting my priest on the shelf and switching to my druid and rogue. :P

I cant Fave this hard enough, I know it's old but I'm the same way.. I've even aranged the salt and pepper shakers to try and explain a boss fight to someone that doesn't play World of warcraft ^_^;
