Zeydaan had pulled many strings to bring along their friends Dell, Yael, Terra and Dez over to the world of Alrest. Of course, what's living out the game without some weapons to use too? Finding a world where such blades would be left available for use would be difficult, so why not pull from many?
The thing is with Dimensional meddling, is that if you outstretch, you could end up with serious side effects. As the 5 anthros played with their toys, only Zeydaan would be able to foresee what was happening- as Shulk used their battle skill to warn what was about to happen.
But it would be too late, the blades are bound to their drivers, and Zeydaan has gotten sloppy- the blades were having to compensate.
