the one droplet flopping to the right after the splash just seems to appear out of nowhere
and the splash is supposed to hit back down again
but it just looks like it morphs back down into itself

otherwise looks great

I was at a talk by the guy who did effects for Mulan and a bunch of other movies, and he was saying one way to make a splash, explosion, object smashing, etc. more realistic is to have at least one particle that goes in an unexpected direction for a greater distance than the rest. I'd say that lesson is being played out here.

Looking at it a couple more times, I can see exactly where it comes from. If this was playing at full speed, you wouldn't think twice of it.

but the idea is the water's supposed to break apart which creates the droplet
in this one it just pops into existance

:U Did you see the video where they played back a water droplet in like super slow high def motion or something? It kept making tinier and tinier water drops until it was too small to bounce back up. :3
