Some dicking around in class last week with a sketch I did in a different class. Still not quite got a handle on these cintiqs yet but I'm gettin there I guess. Wanted to play with some blur effects to show speed for a project I have in mind for the future. And before anyone complains about the stock grass brush, I am well aware of its cheesy nature...but downloading new brushes at school is akin to impossible and I didn't have a ton of time as far as class length went to go through and hand paint each blade of grass.

Some of you may notice a heavy influence of the classic sonic look in how I drew him here, and that's because I grew up playing the Genesis sonic games as a kid, and to me that's how sonic looks. I added some elements from his newer makeovers but tried to keep him sort of in the style of how he appeared in the genesis games back in the day.
