Alpaca String Puppet
Yet another little post-it doodle to tide you over while I focus on my current bigger works.
I am really terrible at making OCs. And by that, I mean I'll spot something a bit neat, start having an idea of a character like that, and end up developing a whole random-ass OC on the spot. In this case, seeing a soft and floppy marionette of a donkey at the charity shop today and getting immediately inspired by it to create and draw this idiot here. :P
He's a crazy alpaca string puppet with wooden hooves and a plush head, currently without a name. (or at least one that's decent and non-stereotypical.)
So! Info for what you're looking at!
-His whole body below the neck is string through multiple discs of woolly fluff, with wooden "shoulders" and "hips" to tie his arms and legs to the rest of him.
-He's held up by faint, intangible strings, which connect to different points of him based on how he's moving. Whether or not they're real and physical is up to him!
-While his wooden hooves are hooves by default, he can manipulate them to be more like actual usable hands, most often in a LEGO-style claw shape.
-Hoof hands means he'll also go quadruped when he feels like it.
-He can stretch and extend his strings to more than twice their original length, though there is a limit to that.
-Also, because he's mostly just strings, he's obviously very floppy and flexible.
-Scissors are his biggest weakness, both physically and mentally! A little guilty pleasure, so to speak. Don't worry though, he can regenerate.
-That said, cutting his strings leaves him immobile until they magically grow back after a while.
So, that's it about him for now! Once these art and the last requests are over, I'll get him a name and do some more stuff with him! ;)

Now then; scissors are, to put it in the most family-friendly way I can, a big favorite thing of his, especially with a body that's both held up by and mostly made of string. Basically, that's a blush where he's thinking of them. Yes, I sometimes have odd ideas. :P
The one where he's shorn is mainly to show how he'd look without his fluff, and he's perturbed because he'd just lost it all in an instant without warning. He's fine with being shorn, just in a normal, non-surprising way! ;)
