FBA: Minutemen Announce New GM, Logo
WILLIAMSBURG (Va.) - Jack Tarman (bengal tiger), owner of the beleaguered Williamsburg Minutemen basketball team, finally announced positive news concerning the franchise.
Just weeks after firing general manager Jason Muttley (black dog), Tarman hired young Samuel Gwosdz (red fox) to run the day-by-day operations of the team. Just 27 years of age, Gwosdz is one of the younger general managers in the league.
Gwosdz, who has been known to frequently wear a baseball cap, came prepared as he doffed a new Minutemen cap. The red cap sported the Minutemen's new secondary logo. "I feel like I've been drafted," Gwosdz joked, which drew some chuckles from the press corps. He added that this was a dream come true for him. "Words can't even begin to describe how excited and grateful I am for this opportunity."
When asked if there was a possibility that his wife and mate Marron "Blaze" Gwosdz might join the team, Sam took off his cap and scratched his head. "Let's not rule anything out. I want to do what's best for the Minutemen," he replied. The red fox seemed to be aware of the circulating rumors that started once word leaked out a week ago that he was to be the next general manager of the Minutemen.
Tarman also announced that the team would be sporting new logos and unfiorms for this season, revealing the new logo like a work of art near the end of the press conference. "Despite the need to move forward," said Tarman, "we must never forget the past. This logo helps to accomplish that."
