She's pretty but also very tough looking at the same time - a good combination.

Excellent!! The foreshortening worked well on the arm. Wings are harder to do by a longshot, so you get a pass there. ;) Her sash and robes are pretty cool and sexy. I imagine her wearing them for some special occasion, and a fight broke out that she just had to take care of. ;) Or maybe she's a celebrity, and someone asked her to do an attack pose. LOL

I know the costume isn't exactly period accurate. I did try to do a lot of searching online and with all the options I end up frankenstein-ing a lot ^^; The costume I imagine to be pretty multi-functional, dress or fight. With the splits in the skirt, they can actually be tied up like a monk's robe around her body or left down for more maneuverability. Then again I know silks aren't so monkish... maybe she got lucky and found a custom seamstress that catered to her draconic fancies ^^

I have no excuse I always have weird on the brain, but how was it? Did you have a lot of fun? I always here how fun Comic Con is... soooo many people go and such awesome costumes to see.

Honestly the wings weren't on purpose at first ^^; but the emerald theme worked as a transparent gem so she's a bit sparkly :}

I'm really glad you like how she turned out, I was worried I'd have too much fun and get really carried away. I'm kinda sad these aren't full pieces. All of yours I would have liked to have spent a lot more time on fully completing.

It may not be period/character accurate, but I do like that you put some thought into it, to make it pretty yet functional. Aram would totally wear this. And she's good with silks. She indulges a little. She didn't take that vow of poverty -- no way her dragon blood would allow that!

I had a blast at the con, and a blast outside the con as well. My friend Dave has such a diverse bunch of friends, it's always a great time to hang out with them. And I spent WAY too much time and $$ in the dealer's room. I even got Cerulo to sketch for me on the inside cover of the Book of the Dragon I bought from him (new edition, more arts), and Ruth Thompson promised to do a Rooth sketch at the Ren Fest this weekend, and Chris Whatshisname did a cool sketch, and so did Richard Starkings and Gabriel Whatshisname. And Lar, the artist for Looking For Group ... he did a follow-up sketch to one he did last year. I gotta scan and post it yet.

Oh, and omg, I encountered a new dragon artist! I gotta find her card, I can't remember her name, but wow, her art was amazing.

Hehe I actually used to have dreams of getting into the fashion industry ages past, but now I just do it on characters for fun. Too much competition and I can't sew to save my life, not except for mending minor things... But yay \o/ I'm glad your happy with it ^^ It always pleases me when someone likes my designs *fluffs proudly*

OOoooooowwwww O.O Ruth is going to do a Rooth?! I is excite for that! I have loved her art for a very long time. I even got a picture with her (which I still have somewhere) and had her sign a Howl (the one reminiscent of a grown up red riding hood with the following of wolves) t-shirt for me (sadly I couldn't help not wearing it so the signature may be pretty much washed off over the years) at the Sterling Forest Ren Faire in Tuxedo, NY the last time I was there probably a good 8 years ago :S I'd really love to see how she does him :}

Ruth sketched a quick dragon on the back of my friend Barry's purchase, ... in sharpie. She's amazing.

I went to the Sterling Forest Ren Fest! That was my first ever .. .uh .. back in '88. >_>

I texted her today, and then promptly left my phone at work, so .. now I gotta go back and get it. :(
