Holy crap! I drew something that I'm not thinking of as hideously bad or too cartoonish.

So,  digitalduckstudios and I were talking awhile back about designing our own sci-fi setting. Well, this is one of the species we came up with. A race of amphibious creatures from a low grav (compared to earth) world. I'm kind of forgetting some details about them, but they're a boneless race whose bodies are supported by rigid fluid sacs. Some of the sacs are for structures while others are for pushing and pulling the body in various directions like muscles. Smaller bundles of thread-like neuro-muscular fibers make more minute pulls on the body that allow fine detail manipulation within their mouth tendrils and tentacle-like fingers.

If you can't read the stuff on the iamge, it mostly details that. It also shows that they have seven "fingers" and seven tendrils around their lamprey-like mouth.

Although the race is called Chell, humans sometimes refer to them by derogatory terms like Squiddy, Cthulids or Lovecraftians.
