At this point, my character Juni Okuda has to stay behind from the deployment because it turns out she is pregnant. So she goes home and retrieves Sadie, the retired Military Working Dog she adopted, from her parents.. Juni's dad was a guy that bought into the "hard-working salaryman" thing, and was working during much of his daughter's younger years... so now, with Sadie, he is using the opportunity to vicariously "catch up" on some of those missing moments.
