The realism of today's 3D renders astounds me. I'd say it was worth the price. =)

Yeah, the neck does look a little uncomfortable. I don't know anything about Poser etc. but don't models come with skeletons that limit their movements to those that are realistic?

Its the VRay component, a very good rendering plugin usable in 3dsMAX and Maja I believe..
There are ways to restict the motion, but that bend for the neck would be quite natural.. its just that the neck would have to be under constand tension. So not as relaxed as I want it to look... talking of relaxed.. I plan to make another pose .. lying roled together on the bed... and the bed having crushed under his weight.

Only twenty minutes?! I'm stunned. Something like this would've taken me HOURS to render in Yafray. But then, maybe my computer just sucks.

Twenty? Try five. We already have engines which have realtime radiosity-like effects which will be used in the next generation of PC games. I think the one I'm thinking of is the next generation of CryEngine.

Not so lifelike I am afraid.. the throat ends right behind the jaws.. and the backside is rather plain. Well there are the bones.. and a curve you could imagine as a male Dinos cloaca.
But no folding.. yet

Though out of faireness I must say, I might add a cloaca.. but for nothing else than overall looks. I would never do anything that might lower my loves integrity. Other than posing him in all kinds of cuddly and huggable poses.

Kewl. I'm gonna go check Vray out, then. Doing that quality of render in Brazil would take all day. I have yet to get any quality even close to that from FinalRender.

nope.. all plain materials. Note that V-Ray is not a standalone program but a render component.

Imagine if this animal transformation happened to everybody in the whole world by an alien disease, an alien disease-carrying meteorite, or a radioactive meteoroid. When I first saw the picture above, I thought that was a person, now completely a Trex except for the soul & mind, who was resting like that. That he/she learned to go to bed like that or still have the ability to bend down and rest its feet from the constant weight pressure put upon them, although she/he had the muscles to keep up with that. Maybe because the new Trex person wasn't used to it yet. I knew they didn't rest or do that sort of thing on the bed, at least the position, but I still imagined it was an anthro or something at first glance. Awesome 3D model and the details. I love it.
