Well, technically wolf.

The species choice for Salem was suggested to me on Tumblr but it works perfect. A generic cliche big bad wolf just fits her aesthetic and villain role really well. Also makes sense for a millennia old immortal being to be an ancestor of domestic dogs (though I just had a thought this makes her the big bad wolf to the Irish wolfhound Ruby in my AU hmmmm)

The first time I designed her I tried to make her look more like a Beowolf since I figured that IS what a Grimm-fied wolf would turn into but it just didn't translate her human design well to the point it made her near unrecognizable. So I just ended u making her a generic white wolf with some of her design accessories/features slapped on
