The only thing micro about him is the experience of microgravity while orbiting at 400 km above the surface of the Earth.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~So, I had to do this again. Massive avians have made their nest in my head and they refuse to leave. And I had to oblige and draw this guy on zero-G, floating around, and enjoying the feeling of weightlessness. Only this way he can still move around. I imagine back on Earth he got too big for even two office chairs.
Now, as always with furries, this image asks for some suspension of disbelief. For once, it is unrealistic that an astronaut like this blubbery borb would be chosen to do work in space: astronauts are not only incredibly clever and scientifically driven, but also exceptionally well-built and in tip-top shape.
Not only that, but certainly, astronauts don't just hang around the ISS with all sorts of random floating items. Imagine how dangerous it would be!! And naturally both cake and doughnuts are definitely not among the foods that astronauts can enjoy while orbiting Earth. Anything that can disintegrate into a myriad of crumbs is a big no-no in space.
So yeah... this is not an accurate representation of an astronaut at all... if it helps you sleep at night, you can think of it as our fellow falcon’s platonic dream that he might never achieve, becoming an astronaut and never having to care about his weight anymore. Wouldn't that be nice?
Anyway... there you go. Another fat bird.

When space-flight is more routine I'm sure they'll have to let more 'realistically-proportioned' astro-birds up there. Think of the added safety features- he's well-padded against accidental collisions, and once his backside is wedged in the pilot's chair, no floating off for him!
Very nicely done, and a fun depiction of microgravity! Thanks for sharing this with us. :)
