I figured I should add something to Dirigible's character. In addition to inflating to a giant beach ball, he'd also consider himself a gentleman and womanizer. He can be a bit bone-headed and vain, though. (Think Johnny Bravo meets the Frog and the Ox.) But he's still round and loyal to his fellow Zoo Scouts.
