Ziklatath.
a representative of the omnivorous fauna on the territory of Kjagara. Small in number.
The growth of these individuals was recorded about 20 meters in height (perhaps there are larger individuals)
The body is covered with a very thick and sturdy layer of plate armor made of chitin.
There is sexual dimorphism - males differ from females, the presence of a horn on a head can be of different forms.
Ziklatathi spend most of their lives in hibernation. Their sleep can last from a year, or even up to three years. Upon awakening, the giant proceeds to search for food. Everything is on his menu. Meat, herbs, carrion, etc. They look for food both on the surface and underground. Due to the sandy soil of Kjagara, ziklatathas quite easily burrow into the sand to a great depth, where they can find a real treasure in the form of nutritious Votu tubers. They are basically the main diet for energy replenishment and fat storage.
By nature, a neutral animal that does not pay attention to what is happening around him at all. The only thing that can infuriate the beast is a hindrance to its sleep. Therefore, you should not arrange cannon shots near the sandy mountain from which the ziklatath horn sticks out.
They reproduce in the same way as the Hasdurs, by means of "kissing" with the help of which the male transfers his capsule with the seed to the female, and she then fertilizes herself when she sees fit. Or rather, if she does not meet another, larger male within a week, because the capsule retains sperm activity for exactly seven days.
The fetus ripens within five years, and when the time comes, the female vomits into the light already well and fully formed cub. The baby at the time of birth, has a height of 3 meters, and within a day, his chitin hardens and becomes reliable armor. Until the chitin gets stronger, the female will protect the child, after which she will drive him away from herself, sending the baby on her life path.
