I realized that I never actually uploaded this one here. People ask me, "How do you get such great shots?" I tell them: I take 300 and then see if any look good.

I figured rather than DESCRIBING how obstinate animals can be when you try to photograph them, I'd show instead. After all, they say a picture is worth a thousand words.

Please bear in mind that these are not even the worst of the worst. These are the failures that made it past the first culling. The first cut removes things that ended up being unidentifiable motion blurs, no time to focus properly, etc. Of 120 shots in one set, I ended up culling down to 87 with the first cut. Generally around 1/3rd of the total shots don't even make it past that first cut of doom.

Photography captures an instant in time at a specific place. If you're lucky, it happens to be an interesting and appealing instant, and in focus. If not... Welll.... Giraffe butt anybody?
