Finally finished!
Once upon a time, when Filly was a human, she had two cats -- a calico named Shamrock, and a black cat named Witchhazel. Filly was turned into a squirrel at some point, and since I find it a little weird for anthropomorphic characters to have pets, these rather minor characters were shelved. It was only recently that I realized that they may make good background characters for Filly's little story, so I decided to give them their own overhaul.
I'm still on the fence about the characters' backgrounds and stuff. I'm not sure if Witchhazel and Shamrock are their real names, or how exactly they're related. Twins, sisters... cousins? I dunno yet. Still thinking it over. The only real detail I'm sure about is that they work in a bookstore.
Their designs gave me some heartache, and differ from the original looks I had set for them. Shammy was supposed to have spiky hair, but in the end I gave her a more scruffy, carefree style. Witchy's is close to the original, but more neat. Her colors took no time at all, obviously. Shammy's patterns took me a bit, and I ended up redoing them a few times, but in the end I'm very pleased with them.
So, yeah! I think that's it. Completely done in SAI.
Witchhazel and Shamrock both belong to me, as does the art.
