Here are two characters from a story I've been working on. Commander Yamoti [female] and the head of her honor guard, Vorga [male].

The Rathac are an alien felineoid species on a terrestrial world that a human generation ship crashes on. Their technology lies along a totally different arc from humans and their culture is strange indeed. Their biology is enough to give a xenobiologist fits and they are proud warriors who much like humans, are known to fight between nations.

Yes those are tentacles holding weapons. The tentacles are fully prehensile and retract into the region of the shoulder blades. And when not holding weapons the tentacles do have a single claw that can be exposed to attack their enemies.

This piece helped me get out of my slump lately. Took me almost 3 days of steady work to get this to look as good as it does, was a rather difficult piece. Dunno if I will color it or not yet.

If enough people show interest I might post the story I've been working with these characters.
