Swiftwind acted quickly, deciding not to give the rat the chance to turn the tables on him, as so many rodentia and lagomorphs are prone to do to the eagle. So, with a series of rapid gulps, the rat quickly vanishes down the avian gullet, making a nice, pudgy bulge in his middle.

Just an awesome swallowing sequence here, and I love that final panel, with Swiftwind having a huge belly and his tongue lulling out in fullness and delight. :D
