This is a mutant creature that lives everywhere but in limited numbers. It is an apex predator because other animals never compete with this creature for food. Nobody hunts Gerga either, since her body is extremely poisonous. Gerga is an omnivorous creature, it can eat meat, plants, carrion, and even stones and sand. It eats in huge quantities, but 99% of what is eaten is synthesized into the "Scarlet Gift" substance. This is a substance that forms in Gerga's body and is stored in growths (sacs) on the back. During periods of drought and severe nutritional deficiencies, Gerga migrates to places with little food. In these places, it opens its bags and the mouth from which the "Scarlet Gift" begins to flow. This is a special substance that is so nutritious that 2-3 grams can feed a huge creature for several days. It is also easily absorbed by any creature. Even when it leaks out of the bag and falls to the ground, it will not evaporate or rot. This substance has a rather strong and pungent odor. Gerga rarely breeds. Usually, they reproduce only when there are a lot of places with a meager amount of food (long years of drought or widespread fires). Sometimes you can observe an interesting phenomenon - "The Scarlet Truce". During a lack of food, Gerga can be followed by a hundred or more of various creatures, while they will ignore each other, even predators and herbivores. Also, they will protect Gerga from anyone who tries to attack or capture this creature.
