This Sword is able to infuse its blade with a liquid that lets it oxidize extremely quick. The liquid also acts as a stabilizer for the blades shape and regrows the blade constantly in an almost flow looking motion.
The blade is not only able to infect wounds very quickly, but also infects other metals and lets them rust almost instantly making the sword extremely effective against any kind of metal based armor.

Fun fact: Tetanus doesn't actually generally live on rusty metal. It doesn't handle oxygen well, so it mainly sticks to ground, living in the dirt and decaying plant matter. The reason it's so heavily associated with rust is likely due to a large number of injuries resulting in a tetanus infection being stuff like stepping on or otherwise scraping/impaling yourself upon old, dirty rusted metal laying on or half-buried in the ground.
