Crusher apron repair

Here is a shot of the apron looking downwards... this is just one half of the lower apron face... the plates in the bottom of the photo are the old wear plates that I will be covering over with other worn wear plates.

When I'm done with wear plates I will be hardfacing everything to try to get more life out of this repair.

The apron is 3/4 plus inch thick and the wear plates are 1 1/8

I had some 5/64 flux cored hard face fcaw wire, It was a good hard face product, the flux core was a little messy but the dirt didn't care. I didn't save the spool tag but it was faster than stick, 50 pound spool lasted a good bit of time.

looks like you could use a five gallon pail of molten hard face to pour in there!! Heh, have a piece, 4x5 feet of 1 1/4 AR500 that someone dropped off because they had no idea what to do with it.
