I love that gun! I own the carbine version that got handed down to me from my moms side of the family. may of been her dads (passed before i was born).

I used to own a 10/22, until the local asshats broke in and stole it.

I can tell I'm getting old because all of my autoloading 22s get left at home now. The bolts, pumps, levers, falling blocks, and straight-pulls all get more range time than my 10/22 and Model 60.

Why? Maintenance.

Mindlessly mag dumping into a pumpkin 10 yards away quickly loses its luster. Add onto that all the cleaning that is involved to keep an autoloading 22 running vs any of the manual actions.

Nope, I'm the one who put a 10x centerfire scope onto a Savage 22LR bull barrel rifle with a 20 MOA base and have it zeroed at 200 yards. Why? Because I can and it's stupid fun to have to wait to hear the bullet hit the gong.

I have the special MALL*WART edition from about 25 years ago, stainless in the pale gray laminate. The 4X Weaver scope I dropped on it is over 50 years old now, but it's capable of one minute of woodchuck.

If she had the 25 round magazine, you'd have had a lot more 'PAK's...

A bitch to clean after a run of cci blazers but damn do they land good shots!

The one I got to play with had a few reloading issues but otherwise was a smooth shot each time. Heckin' nice!

That could have been from a lack of proper cleaning from previous shooting, or possibly a poor brand of ammo. The rifle itself, with proper care and cleaning is a delight to shoot.

Sounds like it was a cheap brand of ammo like Remington Golden Bullets, notorious for misfeeds and stove piping (The casing not fully ejecting).

I've got some bolt action .22s that are as fun to shoot and less likely to misfire or jam.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my 10-22, I have a 3-9x44mm scope on it sighted at 50 yards.

But the 15-22 is such a different animal it sees way more range time and brass than any of my and my kids 10-22s combined.

I actually have the GSG MP-9 in .22, with the fake suppressor to hide the 16 inch barrel. And yes, it is fun!

I just dropped off my dads 50 year old Ruger 77 to be reblued today.
My youngest pup is restoring it.
After sitting in the back of dads pickup the stock was white and the barrow hos rust spots, the scope is fading to orange.

Pup refinished the stock and it looks new again,

I traded off my Ruger M77 in .30-06 for a Glock 33 that I dropped a Glock 27 barrel into it. So basically two different calibers, one handgun.

How about a 50 round magazine?
Now that is fun!!

The Teardrop one worked best, the circular ones sorta suck.
