In an unexpected twist, The party was summoned to the Marcona Estate, home to an affluent family of magic users who's abilities ran in their blood. After being treated to an absolute feast, Duke Marcona broke the cheery mood by demanding that they help his son. A family curse had been placed on the Marconas by P'yexharsus centuries ago, one that would periodically mermify random members of the family. The Marconas had hid the generational curse for fear that the other royal families would view their blood as tainted, and after minimizing the curse's impact, it began to fade away at what many in the family believe was the time that P'yexharsus' follower's abandoned him. But recently, the Duke's eldest son, Baron Pecan, had transformed, marking the return of a curse that laid dormant for over six hundred years. On top of the fact that Baron Pecan now had "cursed blood", he no longer had the "equipment" to create heirs of his own in his current form (Kev tried to correct the Duke about this and was promptly carried away by the guards) So the group was tasked with finding a cure for the Marcona heir's affliction, while also moving him away from the peering eyes of spies by disguising him as their newest member. Since the mercenary occupation was seen as "below royal blood", many spies would not even consider looking toward the group to find the Baron.
