The Heaven's Keys are a set of islands on the continent of Owel. The islands are mostly abandoned.

This is Nip during a part of his journey in which he has to trudge through a nasty swamp on one of the islands.

There really are no words that would do the amount of detail here justice. Just. . . wow.

Also, the soft, desaturated color palette makes this look like an old renaissance painting.

I like the contrast: Nip is very sweet and charming looking, slogging through a creepy swamp that looks to be filled with carnivorous plants with mouths and eyeballs! Very well-rendered slime and fetidness!

Also I kinda dig how the monstrous appearance and shape of the tree trunks plants a fake impression of monsters everywhere in your head, it's like it's emulating the alienation and fear experienced when you hallucinate. Won't lie I like it more than almost every other picture you done though, no offence meant.

I wonder if this is still what Heaven's Keys looks like after some 4 years ago? Either way seeing this again is like a stroll through memory lane! Still an excellent piece for sure.
