Something a few months old therian unearthed looking through my painter recents; totally forgot about it.
At the time I was experimenting with heavier more toony inks, I guess. I like this style and would love to revisit it when I have time.
I think she is supposed to be hangin' out with Viktor; man I need to work on his intro comic.

I actually see three distinct colouring styles here – the gradients used for the fur, the cel-shading for the clothing (there's gotta be a better name for that), and the odd sketchy thing for the tail. I really like each of them for different reasons, and I think it'd be fascinating to see everything "natural" have gradients and everything "synthetic" have the sharp shading as a sort of symbolic contrast, though it's hard to tell how well it'd read in a more general sense. The sketchy thing with the tail almost wants to be on its own, used for an entire piece.
I doubt that helps much... and now after having said it, I'm seeing that the first two are the same, just to different degrees of how obvious they are. I'd love to see this developed a little further.
