I haven't actually played rondo of blood :/ not that I haven't wanted to
I think its the same design as is used in rondo of blood but I based it more off of as its seen in Symphony of the Night, Aria of Sorrow (as well as Dawn of Sorrow I believe), and Order of Ecclesia :B

You are correct since Rondo of Blood is the Prequel to SOTN they used alot of the same looking monsters like this on and the giant skeleton the merman etc. Aira and Dawn are based on SOTN too so again same ^^. He is a really cool one the remake in Dracula X Chronicles does a cool cut scene were you see him change.
