Pandora Relaxing - By Zliva
Zliva drew a picture of Pandora enjoying the life she did not know was around her via her drone.
This in theory happens right after she was freed and before people manage to actually restore her completely.
A sort of "time of innocence".
Obviously it is not going to last. But for now i did commission a few pieces of her shown in this way.
Pandora is nigh indestructible... but this does not mean she cannot be harmed, in fact she starts her story in the worst conditions possible.
She is (by all intents and purposes) lobotomized due to her (mostly mechanical) brain having been locked and gripped by years upon years of lack of maintenance.
She still knows enough to feed herself to keep herself "strong" but she is not as strong as she used to be because of how much energy gets wasted due to the usual lack of maintenance having left her with mechanisms unlubricated of even stuck that fight each other at best of times
at the beginning she is a monstrosity with just enough brain to feed herself and belching loads of smoke in the sky due to the furnaces that keep her alive being in the worst conditions possible.
As the humans will progress with the repairs this will improve... but it will obviously lead to great complications.
Right now though... right now this is her drone, all cleaned up and free to move as she pleases... and letting her enjoy a point of view she barely understood that she could have before the collapse in the valley got her "unstuck" for a brief moment.
The drone is still hanging around and being tended to (and helping) the human on board of her as they are working to gain the trust of more humans.
It will be hard. But it can be done. Humanity will gain once more part of the knowledge stored inside her, while she will gain new life via the humans finally allowing her to move and think again.

A human equivalent would be extremely gruesome and grisly.
It's honestly a lot better not to think at all about parallels to human condition, because it gets way beyond "extremely horrifying" in a very ultra "way too fast" fashion.
So i'll put it in spoilers
And the surgeons that will try and help her will basically be cavemen, with little to no understanding of mechanical stuff. but happen to be "tiny enough" (to scale) that can actually do stuff on her to ease her pains and remove the stuff... while still doing the equivalent of an hack job.
But also: this is a drone, so it is just remote controlled by "the thing in the background" which is not a skyscraper, it's her actual body. So humans are tiny, compared to herself, a bit smaller than this drone here.
So the equivalent for that is that this lady with the the untreated brain injury and arthritis gets treated by inserting worm larvae that remove the damaged and necrotized tissues but is left to her own devices about how to recover and eat better.
Yeah. To be frank the human parallelism really sucks. I wrote it just because "You made me imagine this! You monster!"™ but i do not actually suggest you read it.

Basically the equivalent of an old lady with arthritis and a head wound that went untreated (so to speak) while still retaining severe brain infections and joint pain/locking, and ends up eating trash but still "refused to die"™.And the surgeons that will try and help her will basically be cavemen, with little to no understanding of mechanical stuff. but happen to be "tiny enough" (to scale) that can actually do stuff on her to ease her pains and remove the stuff... while still doing the equivalent of an hack job.
